Enclosed Trailer Toyhauler / Camper for Quad, Motorcycle, Harley – $2999 (Phx (north))

Description

Are you looking for a small enclosed trailer to keep your quad, Harley, dirt bikes, or race carts in and also be able to use for camping? Something light to pull with a small SUV, mini pickup or Jeep?
This is a Mini – Toyhauler ( toy hauler ) camp trailer that I built last Dune season since my 40′ triple axle fifth wheel is such a pain to take out. This camper is AWESOME for short trips ( and would be great for Hunting / Sturgis / Camping / or day trips to the desert for riding ) and storing your ATV / ATC / Quad inside when not in use. We used it to easily sleep two people and haul one quad ( we hauled another quad in the back of the pickup we towed it out with ). It started as a Southwestern Trailers – Trail Boss enclosed trailer that had a side door and was tall enough to stand up in. This is critical since many enclosed trailers this size have much less interior height and you can not stand upright in those.

We installed two side windows ( and curtains ) that open and have screens, put in a metal ( not plastic ) crank up roof vent, put a keyed/locking handle on the side door, installed insulation on the sides and ceiling, and then put new paneling on all surfaces. Aluminum trim was used in the corners and sides to finish it off and make it look nice. All trim, the inside of the door, and everything that is not paneled is painted a matching color to tie it all together. I will include some paint in case you ever need to touch-up. There are some small, battery powered LED lights installed inside which make enough light that I was able to take some of these pictures with at night. There is a fold up cloths rack and another huge hook to hang jackets on too.

At the front of this 6’x10′ trailer there are some VERY HEAVY DUTY shelves built with steel and wood painted to match, with carpet installed to make them look nice, and to keep things from sliding. There are large curtains you can close to keep things out of view. These shelves are perfect for holding your helmets, clothing, food, sleeping bags, pillows, and other camping gear. That way everything has its place and there is no clutter to trip on. The floor space under the shelves is just the right size for your large ice chest, toolbox, milk crate of firewood, and your porta potty. There are tie downs installed in that area to keep everything secure. On the side there is a well made table, which folds down from the wall when you need it, then folds right back up when you are done with it. Your camp chairs work great in this spot, then you can take them back out by your campfire when you are finished eating.

On the floor ( which has new tile installed ) we sunk six heavy duty flush mount anchor points to tie down your quad, Harley, go cart, race cart, street bike, or dirt bikes. There are two, removable aluminum ramps that attach to the back to load your toys, then slide under your quad or into the back of your tow vehicle.

Since I wanted lots of ventilation so I could use a propane heater inside I also installed adjustable floor vents at each corner, which work well with the other screened windows and roof vent to safely be able to heat the inside

The lights on the exterior were updated and I put two way lights on the fenders to make it easier to back the trailer up at night. A new tongue was installed which takes a 2″ ball, two new safety chains were welded on using pickup u-bolts so they can be adjusted for length, and a stout new 1500 lb rated dual wheel swing back jack was put on as well

A custom spare tire holder was attached to the front which holds one of the three matching 215/75-15″ Kumho tires on Jeep 15×7″ ( 5 on 4.5″ bolt pattern ) OEM wheels. The tire cover is new, as are the axle wheel bearings.

The inside dimensions are : 6’3″ inside height, 6’1″ inside width, 9’10” floor length ( 7’10” from rear closed door to the bottom of the shelves ). Unless you have a Honda Pioneer, I do not think any side by side would fit inside this, but any sport quad ( Raptor, EX400, LTZ 400, Banshee ) or 4×4 quads ( Polaris Sportsman, Grizzly, Foreman, etc. ) should go inside and still have room to spare.

This has been a great little toy hauler for us and I don’t really HAVE to sell it but I’m starting another camper project (a 4×4 Power Stroke Ford Camper Van ) and I already have another toyhauler so I’m testing the waters to see what happens.
